Our Captain Pearse secured another glorious day’s sunshine for our third outing of the year at Black Bush Golf Club on Thursday 8th May. This was our first time playing at this venue and the feedback was very good. David Farrell was the overall winner with a score of 37 stableford points (35 + 2). Class winners were Willie Buckley and Ray Ryan with John Dennis, Tony O’Mahony, Liam O’Connor and Tony Bonass also collected prizes. Rose Ryan won the visitor’s prize with 36 points. The field was tightly packed with 14 members within 5 points of the overall winner.

Our next outing will be at Beech Park Golf Club on Thursday 5th June. Unfortunately, we didn’t have any sponsors for our first 3 outings but we are confident we will have sponsors for the remaining outings this year.

The Golfer of the Year competition is tightly packed after 3 outings with 29 members securing points to-date. Willie Buckley with 17 points, leads by a single point from Mick Cronin and 2 from John Dennis. However, there are 14 members within 10 points so it really is wide open with 40 points still available.
